UAE Foreign Minister Engages in Talks on Regional Security with Indian Counterpart

Abu dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, received Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India. According to Bahrain News Agency, they discussed the overall developments in the region, focusing on the Iranian missile attacks that targeted the UAE and several other countries, and their implications on regional and international security, international navigation, energy supplies, and the global economy. The Indian Foreign Minister reaffirmed his country's full solidarity with the UAE in taking all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as to safeguard the security of its citizens, residents, and visitors. On his part, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed appreciated the visit, noting that it reflects the depth of the established strategic relations between the two countries and India's full solidarity with the UAE. His Highness also af firmed the safety of all residents and visitors in the country. Both sides reviewed the latest regional developments related to US President Donald Trump's announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran. They discussed the importance of strengthening international efforts to establish sustainable peace and security in the region. The discussions also covered topics of mutual concern aimed at strengthening strategic relations between the two countries.
