UAE Foreign Minister Discusses Repercussions of Iranian Attacks with Global Officials

Abu dhabi: HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in phone calls with various officials and foreign ministers to deliberate on the repercussions of Iran's missile attacks on the UAE and other countries in the region.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed spoke with Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of Kenya; Dr. Fuad Mohammed Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq; T©te Ant³nio, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Angola; and Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan. The discussions focused on the serious consequences these developments could have on regional security, stability, and their impact on the global economy and energy security.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the involved officials strongly condemned the missile attacks, describing them as a violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations. They acknowledged the attacks as a direct threat to state security and sovereignty, and regional stability. There was a consensus on the right of the affected countries to take necessary actions to protect their sovereignty and ensure the safety of their populations.

During these discussions, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed expressed gratitude for the support shown by friendly nations towards the UAE. He reassured that all residents and visitors in the country remain safe.

The dialogues also highlighted the necessity of enhancing international cooperation and joint efforts to maintain regional and international security and stability, aiming to fulfill the aspirations of the region's people for inclusive and sustainable development.
