Manama: His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, visited the "Pearling Path: Testimony of an Island Economy" site in Muharraq. He was accompanied by Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Advisor to His Majesty the King for Diplomatic Affairs, and Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Director-General of Heritage at the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA). According to Bahrain News Agency, the visit included stops at key landmarks along the Pearling Path, located in the heart of historic Muharraq, such as Siyadi Mosque and the Pearling Museum, which houses some of the rarest Bahraini pearls. These heritage sites stand as a testament to Bahrain's rich history in pearl trading and diving, which have significantly influenced its identity, culture, and distinctive architectural heritage. The visit came on the sidelines of the 12th meeting of the Bahrain-UAE Joint Higher Committee, chaired by His Highnes s Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
