ABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of the Congo have entered into a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), witnessed by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and Denis Sassou Nguesso, President of the Congo.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement was signed by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, and Christian Yoka, Minister of Finance, Budget, and Public Portfolio of the Congo. This agreement aims to strengthen the economic and commercial relations between the two nations.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed highlighted that the agreement is expected to enhance ties and initiate a new phase of collaboration across multiple sectors. This development is seen as a step forward in fostering a robust partnership between the UAE and the Congo.
President Nguesso expressed his support for the agreement, noting its significance in furthering the shared vision and goals of both countries. He emphasized that this partnership is crucial for advancing sustainable economic development and achieving mutual prosperity.
