Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced that its air defence systems intercepted 18 ballistic missiles, four cruise missiles, and 47 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched from Iran on Friday.
According to Bahrain News Agency, since the start of the Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have intercepted 475 ballistic missiles, 23 cruise missiles, and 2,085 UAVs. The ministry reported that the attacks resulted in the deaths of two members of the UAE Armed Forces while performing their national duty, in addition to the death of a Moroccan civilian contracted by the Armed Forces, as well as nine civilian fatalities of different nationalities.
A total of 203 people were also injured, with injuries ranging from minor to moderate and severe.
