Abu dhabi: The United Arab Emirates air defences successfully intercepted eleven ballistic missiles and twenty-seven UAVs launched from Iran, demonstrating the capability of its systems to counteract these threats.
According to Bahrain News Agency, since the onset of the Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have engaged a total of 425 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,941 UAVs. These attacks have tragically resulted in the deaths of two members of the armed forces while they were performing their national duty, as well as a Moroccan civilian contracted by the Armed Forces.
The attacks have also led to the deaths of eight civilians from different nationalities and injured 178 people with varying degrees of injury. Among the injured are Emirati and Bahraini nationals, along with residents from other countries.
The UAE Ministry of Defence has assured that it remains fully prepared and ready to address any threats, vowing to firmly confront any actions that aim to compromise the security of the country. The ministry emphasizes its commitment to ensuring the protection of the nation's sovereignty and national capabilities.
