Abu dhabi: The air defence systems of the United Arab Emirates engaged 10 ballistic missiles and 45 UAVs launched from Iran.
According to Bahrain News Agency, since the onset of the Iranian aggression, UAE air defences have engaged a total of 314 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles, and 1,672 UAVs.
These persistent attacks have tragically resulted in the deaths of two members of the armed forces while performing their national duty. Additionally, there have been six civilian fatalities involving individuals from Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Palestine.
A total of 157 people have sustained injuries, with the severity ranging from minor to severe. The injured include nationals from a diverse set of countries, including UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, Pakistan, Iran, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Azerbaijan, Yemen, Uganda, Eritrea, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Comoros, Trkiye, Iraq, Nepal, Nigeria, Oman, Jordan, Palestine, Ghana, Indonesia, Sweden, and Tunisia.
The Ministry of Defence of the UAE has affirmed its full preparedness and readiness to address any threats. It has stated that it will firmly confront any attempts to undermine state security, ensuring the protection of its sovereignty, security, and stability, while safeguarding its national interests and capabilities.
