UAE Advances to Gulf Cup Final with Victory Over Oman

Accra:The United Arab Emirates national football team secured a spot in the final of the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup by defeating Oman 1-0 in the semi-final match held in Saudi Arabia.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Othman Camara scored the decisive goal in the 22nd minute, successfully converting a cross from his teammate Mamadou Coulibaly.

In a dramatic moment, Nicolas Gimenez failed to extend the UAE's lead when his penalty kick was saved by Omani goalkeeper Ibrahim Al Mukhaini in the 56th minute. Despite repeated attempts to level the score, Oman was unable to break through the solid defense led by UAE goalkeeper Khalid Eisa.

The UAE, having previously won the Gulf Cup in 2007 and 2013, will now face Saudi Arabia in the final. The match is scheduled to take place on Tuesday at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium. Saudi Arabia earned its place in the final after a penalty shootout victory over Qatar.
