The border forces arrested two suspects, one of them a foreign national, who tried to bring counterfeit money into the country in Basra.
A statement of the Ministry of the Interior stated: "The detachments of the Chalamcheh Police Station of the Customs Police Directorate of the fourth region arrested a foreign suspect in his possession a forged amount of money amounting to (2475000) two million four hundred and seventy-five thousand in the category of (25) thousand dinars, which he intended to enter into Iraqi territory, and another suspect was arrested, who was waiting for the first suspect to receive the forged amount.”
