Tunis: The Republic of Tunisia expressed its absolute rejection of any attacks that violate the sovereignty of Arab states or target their stability and the resources of their peoples, affirming its full and unconditional solidarity with Middle Eastern countries in confronting threats to their sovereignty.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Mohamed Ali Nafti, Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad reaffirmed, during the 165th session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, held via video conference, Tunisia's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Kuwait, the State of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the Sultanate of Oman, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the Republic of Iraq in the face of attacks threatening their security and stability.
Minister Nafti underscored Tunisia's commitment to the principles of international legitimacy, foremost among them respect for state sovereignty and territorial integrity, warning of the sensitive stage facing the Arab region amid escalating tensions that could lead to serious repercussions affecting the foundations of regional and international peace and security, and further complicate humanitarian and economic conditions.
The Minister also renewed Tunisia's call for prioritising peaceful solutions, the immediate de-escalation of tensions, and the adoption of dialogue and negotiation as means to resolve conflicts, urging the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to assume their responsibilities in ensuring the enforcement of international law and international humanitarian law, and to spare the region further instability.
