Transportation Minister inaugurates DSV regional centre at Bahrain Logistics Zone

Minister of Transportation and Telecommunication, Mohammed bin Thamer Al Ka’abi, inaugurated today the DSV facility at Bahrain Logistics Zone, in Hidd, in the presence of Minister of Industry and Commerce Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Chief of Customs Affairs Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Economic Development Board (EDB) Chief Executive Khalid Humaidan, and senior officials.

DSV is the third largest global shipping company and a leader in international logistics. The facility was opened with a capacity of 14,000 square meters, which will contribute to enhancing its capabilities in the field of storage in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The Minister of Transportation and Telecommunication underlined the strategic goal of enhancing Bahrain’s position as a leading maritime and logistics center. “Therefore, continuing to attract international investments such as DSV is of paramount importance to achieve this goal,” he said, stressing Bahrain’s favorable geographic location, open and competitive business environment and economic potential which make it an attractive destination for global investments.
