Tourism Minister participates in WTTC Global Summit

Minister of Tourism, Fatima bint Jafar Al-Sairafi, and Chief Executive of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority (BTEA), Dr. Nasser Al-Qaedi, participated in the 22nd edition of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) annual Global Summit which kicked off today at the King Abdul Aziz International Conference Centre, in Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The summit, being held under the theme “Travel for a Better Future”, will spotlight an array of key issues of top priority, including mainly accelerating the recovery of the tourism sector around the world, enhancing its resilience and capability to face diverse challenges in the future and ensuring the sector’s sustainability.

The Minister of Tourism will participate on the second day of the summit in a panel discussion themed “Maximizing the Tourism Opportunities in the Middle East”. She said that Bahrain’s experience in developing the tourism sector and boosting its contribution to the national economy will be highlighted. She lauded Saudi Arabia’s hosting of the global summit, stressing its pivotal role in promoting tourism in the region.
