Tourism Minister Engages with Prime Minister’s Fellowship Programme Members

Manama: Fatima bint Jaafar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, met with members of the 10th intake of the Prime Minister's Fellowship Programme at Exhibition World Bahrain. Minister Al Sairafi emphasized the programme's significance as an initiative aimed at developing skilled national talent to enhance government operations by focusing on skill and experience development. She praised the continuous support and oversight provided by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, as part of his commitment to improving government performance and efficiency.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Sairafi discussed key aspects of the Tourism Strategy 2022-2026, which includes a focus on sustainability, diversifying tourism products, enhancing the visitor experience, and implementing major projects in collaboration with partners. She stressed that the tourism sector's growth relies on robust partnerships between the public and private sectors, highlighting the private sector's pivotal role as the primary driver of tourism and its potential to offer opportunities for young Bahrainis. Additionally, she acknowledged the critical contributions of national talent in developing initiatives, enhancing institutional work, organizing major events, and promoting tourism in Bahrain and abroad.

Members of the 10th intake of the programme expressed gratitude to the minister for her support and recognition of young national talent. They affirmed their commitment to working collaboratively to achieve comprehensive development goals and enhance the Kingdom's competitiveness at all levels.
