Manama: Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), recently welcomed Dennis de Groot, General Manager of Hawar Resort by Mantis, for a strategic meeting. Accompanying de Groot was Ilhan Anil, the resort's director of sales and marketing.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Sairafi emphasized the significance of large-scale tourism projects in bolstering Bahrain's tourism sector and promoting sustainable tourism experiences. She pointed out that Hawar Resort is a key player in enhancing Bahrain's status as a prime island tourism destination, aligning with the goals set forth in the Tourism Strategy 2022-2026.
Minister Al Sairafi further elaborated that waterfront destinations and marine activities are pivotal to the Tourism Strategy 2022-2026. These elements are crucial for diversifying the range of tourism offerings and intensifying Bahrain's attractiveness as a tourist hotspot.
The discussions also covered various aspects related to the advancement of Bahrain's tourism sector. Topics included strengthening the Kingdom's tourism image, exploring collaborative opportunities in ecotourism and luxury hospitality, and boosting promotional initiatives for Hawar Island as a noteworthy destination linked to Bahrain's tourism attractions and landmarks.
