Tourism Minister Emphasises Bahrain’s Dedication to Tourism Investment

Manama: Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, underscored Bahrain's commitment to supporting tourism investment as a key pillar of sustainable development, in line with the objectives of Arab Tourism Day. She highlighted the role of investment in driving tourism growth and enhancing economic opportunities.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister emphasised that the tourism sector is an important contributor to the national economy, increasing GDP, creating jobs, and supporting sustainable development across Arab countries. She highlighted Bahrain's continuous efforts to attract tourism investments, strengthen its business-friendly environment, and implement its 2022-2026 Tourism Strategy to further develop the sector.

The minister noted Bahrain's advanced tourism infrastructure, favourable investment laws, and major projects that promote economic diversification and cultural exchange. She emphasised that tourism not only boosts economic activity but also helps preserve heritage, strengthen national identity, and ensure long-term economic stability.

The minister underscored the importance of regional and international cooperation in reinforcing Bahrain's global tourism presence and enhancing its cultural and historical appeal. She also emphasised the importance of advancing collaboration among Arab countries to attract investment, boost competitiveness, and establish the region as a leading tourism destination.

Al Sairafi called for strategic partnerships and policies that encourage tourism investment, urging closer coordination among Arab Tourism Organisation members to advance sector development and create lasting economic benefits.
