Manama: The Ministry of Interior concluded the third International Security Alliance joint exercise, held over three days in the Kingdom of Bahrain, in the presence of Lieutenant General His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the field exercise, the first of its kind organized by the International Security Alliance, aimed to strengthen cooperation and exchange expertise among the security agencies of member states. It also focused on reviewing best practices and modern approaches to addressing crime and internal security operations. The program included workshops, training sessions, investigative exercises, data analysis, and simulations on command, control, and joint planning to counter cross-border crimes.
Participating countries included Bahrain, the UAE, Morocco, Senegal, France, Spain, Singapore, Italy, and Slovakia, alongside representatives from law enforcement bodies, tactical and technical units, rapid intervention forces, aviation, communications, and media teams.
General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah commended His Highness Sheikh Saif bin Zayed's leadership in establishing the International Security Alliance and advancing efforts to combat organized and transnational crime. He commended His Highness's continued follow-up with the exercise, noting that it reflects his commitment to its objectives and its practical design.
The Interior Minister also expressed appreciation to the UAE and other alliance members for their organizational and technical contributions, which played a key role in achieving the exercise's goals. He highlighted the professionalism, readiness, and high standards demonstrated by the participating teams.
General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah said the exercise marks a milestone in the alliance's progress, reflecting the unity and coordination among international security agencies. He noted that field-based training remains one of the most effective ways to build interoperability and joint capabilities, adding that the event served as a model of international collaboration in addressing contemporary security challenges.
He thanked the technical, administrative, and organizational teams for their efforts, as well as all alliance members for their dedication and cooperation, noting that what once began as a theoretical concept has now become an established operational reality.
HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed arrived in Bahrain earlier in the day and was received by General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa and senior ministry officials.
