BJA Chairman Expresses Gratitude to HM King for Press and Digital Media Law Ratification

Manama: Isa Al Shaiji, Chairman of the Bahrain Journalists Association (BJA), expressed appreciation to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for ratifying and issuing Law (41) of 2025 amending certain provisions of the Press and Digital Media Law, following its approval by the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Royal endorsement reflects His Majesty's support for the national press and commitment to freedom of opinion and expression, marking a new stage in the development of Bahraini journalism. Al Shaiji praised the Royal recognition of media professionals and His Majesty's continued support for the rights and advancement of journalists, noting that press freedom in the Kingdom of Bahrain has advanced in a safe and professional environment.

He also expressed gratitude to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the government's efforts in completing the Press and Digital Media Law and for its close cooperation with the media sector and the BJA. He reiterated the commitment of the Bahraini press to uphold professional standards, objectivity, and credibility in serving the nation and preserving the Kingdom's role in the regional media landscape.
