An official source close to the office of the supreme religious authority, Sayyid Ali al-Sistani in Najaf, revealed that an official in the office communicated today with Patriarch Mar Louis Sacco, head of the Chaldean Church in Iraq and the world, and expressed to him his regret over the manner in which His Eminence was dealt with recently, which contradicts his religious and national standing.
The source expressed his hope that the appropriate conditions would be available for his return to his headquarters in Baghdad as soon as possible.
