Cairo: His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al Tayyeb, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Al Sharif and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders, welcomed Ebrahim Dallal Al Dossary, the Acting Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF), to discuss expanding cooperation in humanitarian efforts.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Tayyeb praised the continuous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Honorary President of RHF, on the occasion of the Foundation's 25th anniversary. He highlighted the King's unwavering commitment to humanitarian work, both domestically and internationally, which showcases a profound humanitarian vision and a modern approach to serving humanity and preserving human dignity.
The Grand Imam also lauded His Majesty's initiative in founding the RHF and emphasized its pivotal role in supporting orphans and widows, as well as executing development and relief projects worldwide. He reinforced the necessity of enhancing collaboration among humanitarian organizations to better address humanitarian causes and to promote solidarity and compassion among communities.
Ebrahim Dallal Al Dossary, on his part, acknowledged Al Azhar's significant contributions to fostering moderation and tolerance, and its influential role in championing humanitarian issues across regional and global arenas.
Additionally, during his visit, Al Dossary engaged in a meeting with Egyptian Zakat and Charity House, focusing on strengthening joint cooperation, exchanging expertise in the humanitarian and social sectors, and evaluating the organization's strategies and implementation frameworks.
