The Ministry of Planning announced today, Wednesday that: “The date for conducting the census may be postponed for the year 2024.”
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Planning Muhammad Tamim said in a statement: “An amount of 350 billion dinars has been allocated within the 2023 budget to conduct the census,” stressing that “work is in full swing to conduct the census and the need to train large educational cadres to conduct it.”
He added: “The date of the population census may collide with the date of the provincial council elections, and we will be forced to push it for the year 2024.”
