The Islamic Union Bloc: We object to this budget.. and interventions from outside Parliament to resolve the Kurdish differences

The Kurdistan Islamic Union bloc announced its objection to the draft federal budget law, which is included for voting in the parliament session.

The head of the bloc, Jamal Kougar, said, in a joint press conference this evening, Friday, that "there are political interventions from parties outside parliament to mediate between the two Kurdish parties to resolve outstanding differences, but these interventions do not serve anyone, but rather harm everyone, then the two Kurdish parties easily give up the rights of the region.”

He added, "We register our objection to this mined budget that imposes many restrictions, and there are mines in this budget that we warned about, especially the articles related to the Kurdistan region."

Kougar continued: "We are still insisting on keeping the paragraph of refunding part of the salaries of the region's employees from compulsory savings to repay the employees' grievances and preserve their strength and the sustenance of their families."
