Tatarstan Republic President Rustam Minnikhanov Received Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) Chairman Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, who conveyed to him greetings from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
President Minnikhanov extended greetings and gratitude to HM the King for delegating the SCIA chairman to participate Tatarstan’s celebrations of the on the 1100th anniversary of the official adoption of Islam by the Bulgar peoples in the Volga Basin.
SCIA chairman presented to President Minnikhanov a replica of the message sent by the Prophet (PBUH) to the ruler of Bahrain and its people in the eighth Hijri year corresponding to 630 AD, upon which they entered Islam voluntarily, about 1435 years ago.
Tatar President expressed his pride in the participation of the Kingdom of Bahrain in this anniversary, which reflects the depth of the close bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
He expressed keenness on further strengthening bilateral relations, praising the ancient Islamic history on the land of Bahrain, and Bahrain’s contributions to the ancient Islamic civilization.
