Abu Dhabi: The Labour Fund 'Tamkeen' participated in the 4th edition of the Arab Youth Leadership Forum, under the 2025 World Governments Summit in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This event, themed 'Shaping the Governments of the Future,' gathered global thought leaders, experts, and decision-makers. Tamkeen aimed to highlight Bahrain's experience in empowering youth competencies for success in the labor market and private sector.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Tamkeen's Chief Executive, participated in a panel discussion titled 'Youth in the Private Sector: Arab Government Experiences for Changing Collective Mindsets and Redefining Golden Opportunities in Entrepreneurship and Employment in the Private Sector'. Mofeez underscored the role of governments in providing youth with necessary training and skill development, enhancing their competitiveness in the private sector.
Mofeez stressed the importance of continuous efforts to support youth in achieving their ambitions, creating pathways for their achievements and creativity, contributing to societal advancement. She highlighted that supporting Bahraini youth has been a key focus for Tamkeen, which offers programs and initiatives to provide training and support, aiding young Bahrainis in workforce entry and entrepreneurship exploration.
The Chief Executive noted that this support aligns with Tamkeen's core objectives, including positioning Bahraini employees as the preferred choice in the labor market. By investing in youth, Tamkeen aims to establish a strong foundation of skilled national talent, enhancing productivity across private sector institutions.
The Arab Youth Leadership Forum, under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Youth Arab Center, is the largest of its kind in the Arab World. It unites young Arab government leaders to unify efforts, build partnerships, and establish a common agenda that serves and empowers Arab youth across sectors.
