Manama: The Labour Fund (Tamkeen) recently concluded its participation in the second edition of the Global Labour Market Conference (GLMC). Maha Abdulhameed Mofeez, Chief Executive of Tamkeen, engaged in a panel discussion focusing on equipping youth with the necessary skills for the labour market. According to Bahrain News Agency, Mofeez underscored the role of Skills Bahrain in identifying skill gaps through research and data analytics in partnership with the private sector and relevant government entities. This collaboration informs the development of programmes and initiatives designed to bridge the technology skills gap in the market. She stressed Tamkeen's dedication to creating programmes and initiatives that position Bahrainis as the preferred employees in the labour market, while also empowering the private sector to drive economic growth. These efforts align with Tamkeen's strategic priorities and national development plans, including the Government Action Plan 2023-2026 and the National Labour Market Plan 2023-2026.

During the same conference, Alya Alaali, Chief Strategy and Data Analytics Officer at Tamkeen, participated in the Policy Lab.
