Manama:Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Arthur Mattli, the Ambassador of Switzerland to the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the FinTech Forward 2026 event. This event, hosted by Bahrain, brought together officials, experts, and specialists in the fintech and financial services sectors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was also attended by Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, the Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board.
Shaikh Salman emphasized the importance of enhancing Bahrain's relations with Switzerland, particularly in financial, economic, and investment sectors. He advocated for increased cooperation and the exchange of expertise to support the shared goals of both countries.
Additionally, Shaikh Salman highlighted Bahrain's role in fostering the growth of the fintech sector and advancing its digital financial and banking ecosystem. These efforts contribute to strengthening Bahrain's status as a regional financial hub that attracts quality investments.
