Sustainable Development Minister Highlights Bahraini Women’s Day as a Celebration of Empowerment and Nation-Building.

Manama: Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), highlighted Bahraini Women's Day as a significant occasion to celebrate the contributions of Bahraini women as key partners in nation-building. According to Bahrain News Agency, the minister emphasized that this year's theme, "Women: A Worthy Partner in Nation-Building," reflects the achievements and status Bahraini women have attained across all domains, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The minister commended the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King, for its efforts to enhance the status of Bahraini women. She noted the council's well-planned policies and pioneering initiatives that demonstrate Bahrain's commitment to women's progr ess and their role in economic, social, and developmental sectors. She commended these efforts for reinforcing women's contributions in shaping the nation's future. Alkhulaif said that the SCW continues to launch initiatives aimed at achieving gender balance, aligning with Bahrain's aspirations to meet the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and build an inclusive society. She commended the active role of Bahraini women, who have consistently proven their excellence as key contributors to the Kingdom's growth through their achievements in various domains. She highlighted the dedication and responsibility demonstrated by Bahraini women within their families, education, and workplaces. The minister emphasised that Bahrain's policies consistently strengthen women's presence in developmental, economic, and social sectors, offering greater opportunities for them to actively participate in achieving the SDGs.
