Sustainable Development Minister Engages with UAE Official to Enhance Bilateral Cooperation


Manama: Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board (Bahrain EDB), welcomed Abdulla Nasser Lootah, the UAE Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Competitiveness and Experience Exchange, during his recent visit. Lootah also serves as the Chair of the National Committee on Sustainable Development Goals.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting underscored the partnership between Bahrain and the UAE, with the Minister highlighting the strong leadership and mutual support that have driven cooperation across various sectors. She pointed out Bahrain’s proactive role in advancing the Sustainable Development Goals and detailed the ministry’s continuous efforts to improve data quality, update SDG indicators, and build international partnerships.



Lootah acknowledged Bahrain’s progress in sustainable development and governance, appreciating the robust ties between the two nations. He reaffirmed the UAE’s dedication to strengthening cooperation and knowledge exchange to enhance shared economic growth.



During his visit, Lootah also explored the Muharraq Nights festival. He commended the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities for their effective organisation and noted the festival’s role in leveraging cultural heritage to advance community development and sustainable tourism.
