Russia: The Survey and Land Registration Bureau participated in the Global Land Forum (MASTOR) at the invitation of the Government of the Republic of Mordovia in the Russian Federation. The forum convened experts, decision-makers, government representatives, and international organisations focusing on land administration, development, investment, and geospatial technologies.
According to Bahrain News Agency, during the session "Territory of Growth: Integrating Construction, Investment and International Practices", the Bureau showcased the Kingdom of Bahrain's experience in leveraging land administration to bolster sustainable development and the investment environment. Abdulrahman Ali Showaiter, Director of the Cadastral Survey Directorate, delivered a presentation titled "Land Administration as Driver of Growth".
The presentation detailed Bahrain's strategy of utilizing land administration to support economic and urban growth through the provision of reliable property and spatial information, safeguarding rights, and integrating systems and data to aid planning, decision-making, and investment.
Showaiter emphasized that sustainable development relies not only on projects and infrastructure but also on precise, dependable, and transparent property and spatial information that underpins government services and development planning.
The Kingdom's efforts in addressing challenges from rapid urban growth and the creation of multi-use and multi-ownership projects were also highlighted. This is achieved through advanced property and geospatial information systems that enhance decision-making, improve land management, and balance development needs with resource sustainability.
The Bureau stated that its participation underscores its commitment to contributing to specialised international dialogue, enhancing capacity-building initiatives, and exchanging expertise and knowledge with related institutions and organisations. This involvement aids in expanding international cooperation, boosting the readiness of the land and real estate sector to meet future development needs, and solidifying Bahrain's status as a pioneering destination in the application of spatial data and digital solutions for supporting investment and sustainable development.
