Foreign Minister Meets Kyrgyz Counterpart on UN Security Council Sidelines

New york: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met Zheenbek Kulubaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, on the sidelines of the UN Security Council meetings. They engaged in discussions about bilateral cooperation between the two countries, focusing on ways to enhance and develop it across various domains for the benefit of both peoples.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the two ministers also addressed the latest regional developments. The discussions included the repercussions of Iranian aggression against the Kingdom of Bahrain, GCC countries, and other states in the region. They also talked about the implications of Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz on international navigation and the global economy. Additionally, they reviewed the latest developments in the US-Iran negotiations, which are being mediated by Pakistan, aimed at reaching a peaceful settlement to the dispute and ensuring maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz.

The meeting was attended by Jamal Fares Al Ruwaie, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, along with the accompanying delegation.
