Supreme Council of Health President Opens Fourth Manama Health Congress and Expo

Manama: Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council of Health, inaugurated the fourth edition of the Manama Health Congress and Expo. The event, organized by the Government Hospitals in collaboration with the Arab Hospitals Federation, sees significant regional and international participation. It is conducted under the technical supervision of SM Events Management.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Mariam Adhbi Al Jalahma, Chief Executive Officer of Government Hospitals and Chair of the Congress, stated that the event serves as a national and regional platform for discussing future healthcare directions. She highlighted that this edition occurs during a period of rapid digital transformation and increased use of artificial intelligence and clinical governance tools. The congress signifies the progress achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in the health sector and demonstrates Government Hospitals' commitment to advancing research, encouraging innovation, and adopting care models that improve efficiency and service quality.

Fadi Alame, President of the Arab Hospitals Federation, expressed pride in the ongoing partnership with Bahrain through participation in the congress. He emphasized that the event has become a significant annual gathering for exploring developments in the region's health sector. He noted that the congress sets an example of Arab cooperation in the medical field, underscoring Bahrain's role in supporting scientific initiatives and promoting the exchange of expertise among Arab medical professionals. This edition notably aligns with global advancements in artificial intelligence, clinical governance, and advanced care models.

Alice Yammine Boueiz, Chief Executive Officer and official spokesperson of the Arab Hospitals Federation, praised the efforts of Government Hospitals and the event organizer. She remarked that the organization level supports Arab health integration and advances medical policies and practices in accordance with regional and international standards.

The Manama Health Congress and Expo is recognized as one of the region's leading specialized healthcare events, bringing together specialists and decision-makers to exchange expertise and review innovations and technologies that support health system development. This year's edition focuses on four themes: artificial intelligence in medicine, modern models of care delivery, clinical governance, and enhancing health systems' efficiency. These themes mirror global trends aimed at modernizing healthcare systems and improving medical services.

The congress sessions and workshops will continue until 13 December, featuring specialized scientific panels and presentations that showcase innovative practices in medicine and healthcare. The program provides participants opportunities to exchange knowledge and engage with experts from across the region and beyond.
