Supreme Council for Women Celebrates 25 Years of Empowerment

Manama: Under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) is set to commemorate its 25th anniversary alongside Bahraini Women's Day in 2026. The event marks a significant milestone underlining the council's ongoing commitment to the advancement of women in Bahrain.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of SCW, expressed gratitude for the royal patronage of this national celebration. She highlighted the year's designation as the "Year of Isa Al Kabeer," honoring the founder of Bahrain's modern state, which coincides with the council's silver jubilee. This reflects Bahrain's steadfast dedication to building a modern nation under the leadership of His Majesty the King.

Her Royal Highness emphasized that the celebration of these occasions is a testament to the progress of Bahraini women, initiated under His Majesty's national development vision with robust support from the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Addressing Bahraini women, HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim recognized their significant achievements, attributing them to their determination and commitment to national development. She urged them to embrace future opportunities and responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of continued excellence and confidence in their contributions to nation-building. Her Royal Highness encouraged Bahraini women to remain steadfast as partners in decision-making, voices of wisdom, and symbols of giving.
