SCYS Second Deputy Chairman: Investing in Youth Enhances Sustainable Development

Manama: Shaikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, Second Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), said Arab Youth Day, observed annually on July 5, reflects the central role of young people in development and highlights the contributions of Arab youth to science, innovation, entrepreneurship and community service.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Duaij bin Salman emphasized that the current stage requires greater investment in young talent and broader participation of youth in shaping ideas, initiatives, and policies. He stressed that developing young leaders has become essential in light of rapid global transformations.

He further elaborated on the importance of strengthening integration among Arab youth as a key pillar for building a more stable and prosperous future. This can be achieved through initiatives that promote the exchange of expertise, encourage innovation and joint action, and expand cooperation in fields such as the digital economy, entrepreneurship, sustainability, and volunteer work.

Shaikh Duaij bin Salman pointed out that the Arab world's young talent represents a strategic asset. This asset requires a supportive environment that fosters creativity, excellence, and initiative, enabling youth to contribute effectively to development goals and enhance the competitiveness of their countries.

He concluded by emphasizing that Arab youth have demonstrated their ability to innovate and achieve success. He called for continued joint Arab efforts to empower young people, expand their participation, and create further success stories that reflect the Arab world's progress at the regional and international levels.
