Supreme Council for Environment Honoured at Bahrain International Garden Show

Manama: The Supreme Council for Environment (SCE) has been awarded second place in the "Best Stand - Public Sector" category at the 2025 Bahrain International Garden Show, recognising its efforts in environmental conservation and water sustainability. Dr. Mohamed bin Mubarak Bin Dainah, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, highlighted that this achievement reinforces the success of the national campaign "Sustainable Water", launched under the theme "Every Drop Has a Story", which promotes water conservation and resource management.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the SCE pavilion showcased innovative approaches to greywater reuse and sustainable development projects, raising awareness about resource conservation and water efficiency. Dr. Bin Dainah commended the Bahrain International Garden Show as a platform for environmental innovation and cross-sector collaboration, reaffirming the council's commitment to advancing sustainability initiatives.

He also emphasised that the exhibition, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by the government led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, plays a key role in supporting national sustainability efforts by showcasing environmental innovations and raising awareness. Dr. Bin Dainah commended the efforts of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and Chairperson of the Advisory Council of the National Initiative for Agricultural Sector Development (NIAD), for strengthening the agricultural sector, attracting investment, and enhancing food security and economic growth.

He also highlighted the ongoing support of His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for the Environment, in promoting sustainability, environmental protection, and eco-friendly technologies.
