Sunni Endowments Directorate Joins National Tree Week to Boost Afforestation Efforts

Zayed town: In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and in support of the national plan for carbon neutrality launched by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Ahmed Khalil Ibrahim Khairi, Director General of the Sunni Endowments Directorate, participated in Tree Week activities by planting trees at the Abdulrahman bin Rashid Al Bastaki Mosque in Zayed Town, Southern Governorate.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the initiative supports Bahrain's national afforestation plan, which aims to plant 3.6 million trees by 2035 as part of the Kingdom's vision to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060.
