Al Hidd: Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, has officially laid the foundation stone for the Aisha bint Mohammed Bu Ali Mosque in Al Hidd, situated in the Muharraq Governorate. This initiative is part of the Council's strategic plan to enhance places of worship in response to the continuous urban growth across the Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Hajri emphasized the Council's dedication to national development and aligning with the visions of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This commitment is reflected through the execution of various development and service projects.
Dr. Al Hajri also expressed gratitude towards benefactor Mahmood Bu Ali, who is funding the mosque project. The mosque will be constructed on a 548-square-metre plot with a built-up area of 647.6 square metres. It will have the capacity to accommodate 376 worshippers, catering to the increasing population in the Al Hidd region.
