Manama: Dr. Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Futais Al Hajri, Chairman of the Sunni Endowments Council, has been awarded the prestigious Al Sanabel Award for Social Responsibility in Orphan Care for 2024. The recognition highlights his significant contributions to the welfare and support of orphans within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the award ceremony was held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who serves as the Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, as well as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF). The accolade is reserved for institutions across the GCC that have shown exceptional commitment to the development and care of orphans.
The event also saw the presence of Shaikh Salman bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Honorary President of the Al Sanabel Orphans Care Society, acknowledging the shared efforts and dedication towards improving orphan care.
