Special Envoy for Climate Affairs receives NIHR delegation

Special Envoy for Climate Affairs and Chief Executive Officer of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Daina, received the National Institution for Human Rights (NIHR) Chairman, Ali Ahmed Al-Derazi, and some members of the Council of Commissioners.

Dr. Bin Daina congratulated the NIHR Chairman and members on the precious royal trust bestowed upon them by appointing them as members of the NIHR’s Council of Commissioners, wishing them every success in carrying out the national tasks entrusted to them.

The two sides discussed a number of topics of mutual interest, in addition to ways to enhance cooperation between the SCE and the NIHR in all issues related to the environment, climate and sustainable development, in order to strike a balance between the requirements of the development process, on the one hand, and the social and economic aspects, on the other, in addition to the need to consolidate social awareness, through the studies, programmes and activities presented by the SCE in this regard.

The NIHR Chairman and his accompanying delegation expressed thanks and appreciation to Dr. Bin Daina for the warm welcome, lauding the distinguished solid relations between the NIHR and the SCE.

They also praised the SCE’s initiatives and programmes aimed at promoting the human rights culture, as well as the role it has played and the outstanding achievements that have been acclaimed by the relevant reports.
