Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Olivier Cadic, a member of the Senate of France, as part of his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting served as an opportunity to discuss the longstanding ties between Bahrain and France and explore avenues for further cooperation.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Speaker underscored the historical connections between the two nations and noted the steady progress made across various fields. He emphasised the ongoing development of collaboration that benefits both countries and their citizens, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The Speaker reiterated Bahrain's commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at maintaining security and stability, promoting peace in the region, and fostering the values of coexistence, tolerance, and human fraternity. He also highlighted the significance of parliamentary diplomacy in enhancing bilateral relations and furthering joint initiatives, particularly in the economic and investment sectors, to boost trade exchange.
Senator Cadic expressed France's appreciation for Bahrain's dedication to strengthening bilateral relations through various projects and modern programs. He commended Bahrain's contribution to international efforts for global peace and security and praised its initiatives in promoting coexistence and human tolerance.
