Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received General Kriangkrai Srirak, First Vice-President of the Senate of the Kingdom of Thailand, on the sidelines of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) meeting in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Speaker Al Musallam commended the longstanding relations between Bahrain and Thailand, and the development and growth of bilateral cooperation and coordination at all levels. He also underlined the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in supporting cooperation and coordination in the economic and trade domains.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Gen. Srirak expressed pride in the close relations between the two Kingdoms and their continued cooperation and coordination in various domains, wishing Bahrain continued progress and prosperity. He commended the Kingdom's distinguished parliamentary organisation of the Asian meeting and the prominent efforts to enhance joint cooperation to achieve the goals, interests and aspirations of the countries and peoples of the Asian continent.
