Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, received Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, who presented him a draft of the state budget for the fiscal years 2025-2026.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Speaker affirmed that the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa provide the foundation for coordination between the legislative and executive authorities, aimed at serving national interests and advancing prosperity under His Majesty's comprehensive development process.
He commended the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in strengthening cooperation, improving government performance, advancing the Fiscal Balance Programme, and supporting the private sector.
Al Musallam emphasised the Council's commitment to reviewing the draft budget within the constitutional and legal framework, ensuring it meets national priorities, addresses citizens' needs, supports economic growth, promotes promising opportunities, and reinforces fiscal sustainability.
