Bahraini Youth Celebrated for Contributions to National Development

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee, recently underscored the vital role played by Bahraini youth in the Kingdom's development. This acknowledgment comes as part of Bahrain's comprehensive and sustainable development agenda, spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Zayani extended congratulations to Bahraini youth on Bahraini Youth Day, praising their involvement in 'Team Bahrain.' He highlighted their significant contributions to the nation's growth and their role in enhancing Bahrain's status regionally and internationally as a model for sustainable development, human rights, and diplomacy rooted in peace, dialogue, and interfaith understanding.

Dr. Al Zayani expressed pride in the accomplishments of Bahraini youth across various sectors, attributing these successes to the support from the royal family and government initiatives. Key figures include His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the SCYS, who have been instrumental in youth empowerment through various programs.

He emphasized initiatives such as the Prime Minister's Fellowship Programme, the Hope Fund, the King Hamad Award for Youth Empowerment, and the Hope Network. Additionally, he highlighted the establishment of the King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence, which engages youth in peace-building and fostering interfaith harmony.

These efforts have garnered international recognition, as evidenced by the United Nations' adoption of the International Day of Peaceful Coexistence, inspired by a royal initiative.

The minister also acknowledged the contributions of young diplomats representing Bahrain abroad and reiterated the ministry's dedication to preparing future leaders through the Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa Academy for Diplomatic Studies.

Dr. Al Zayani reaffirmed Bahrain's ongoing commitment to empowering youth through national strategies, including the Government Programme (2023-2026), the Human Rights Plan (2022-2026), the National Youth Strategy, and Bahrain Economic Vision 2030.
