Speaker Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal received Bangladeshi Ambassador to Bahrain Muhammad Nazrul Islam.
The speaker praised the existing friendship between Bahrain and Bangladesh, and the development they are witnessing, discussed ways to enhance relations in the parliamentary field for the benefit of the two countries and peoples.
She affirmed the parliament’s keenness to support and strengthen cooperation and bilateral relations and consolidate joint work in the Asian and Islamic parliamentary field, especially in light of the pandemic, noting that the Kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa is keen to ensure the health and safety of citizens and residents alike, based on humanitarian approach.
The ambassador expressed his pride and appreciation for the bilateral relations and the attention provided by Bahrain to the Bangladeshi community, and its humanitarian initiatives in ensuring the health of the Bangladeshi community during the coronavirus pandemic, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
