Speaker Meets Turkish Grand National Assembly President in Ankara

Ankara: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, speaker of the Council of Representatives, met with Numan Kurtulmus, President of the Grand National Assembly of Trkiye, in Ankara to discuss enhancing parliamentary cooperation.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Kurtulmus expressed Trkiye's appreciation for the efforts of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in promoting security, peace, and the Palestinian cause, as well as regional stability and development. He emphasised Trkiye's commitment to enhancing bilateral ties across various sectors and highlighted Bahrain's development under the leadership of His Majesty the King.

Al Musallam commended the strong Bahrain-Trkiye relations, supported by HM the King and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He expressed appreciation for the efforts of His Excellency President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Trkiye in advancing cooperation, particularly in economic, investment, tourism, cultural, and parliamentary domains.

Both sides underscored the role of parliamentary diplomacy in fostering cooperation, economic ties, and regional coordination, while emphasising support for Palestine and regional security. Bassam Ahmed Marzouq, Bahrain's Ambassador to Trkiye, and the parliamentary delegation attended the talks.
