Speaker Meets Egyptian First Deputy Speaker to Enhance Bilateral Ties

Jakarta: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Chairman of the Council of Representatives, met with Counsellor Ahmed Saad El Din Mohamed Abd El Rehim, First Deputy Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives. The meeting took place during a parliamentary visit to the Republic of Indonesia, coinciding with the 19th session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States (PUIC) and its associated meetings.

According to Bahrain News Agency, both leaders praised the enduring relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Arab Republic of Egypt, supported by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, with continued follow-up by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly.

The discussion focused on reinforcing bilateral parliamentary cooperation, enhancing mutual relations, and supporting development initiatives that benefit both nations. The leaders emphasized that the relationship between Bahrain and Egypt serves as a model of comprehensive collaboration and partnership.

They also highlighted their mutual interest in advancing parliamentary cooperation and aligning positions at Islamic, regional, and international parliamentary forums to achieve shared objectives. Counsellor Ahmed Saad El Din conveyed greetings from Counsellor Hanafy El Gebaly, Speaker of the Egyptian House of Representatives, to Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam and expressed appreciation for his efforts in strengthening ties between the two countries.
