Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, emphasised that the royal patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has been the cornerstone of Bahraini women's progress, resulting in remarkable achievements, sustainable development gains, and an inspiring success story. According to Bahrain News Agency, he highlighted the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in supporting women's advancement by integrating their developmental needs into initiatives and programmes and enhancing the Supreme Council for Women's (SCW) role as a strategic partner in developmental and societal plans. The speaker praised HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty the King and President of the SCW, for her efforts to achieve national goals for women's progress and enhance their participation across all sectors. He congratulated all Bahraini women on this national occasion. Al Musallam highlight ed the significance of celebrating Bahraini Women's Day alongside the silver jubilee of HM the King's accession to the throne, marking an important milestone that showcases Bahrain's achievements across various domains while noting the contributions of both men and women to comprehensive development. He commended the SCW's initiatives, emphasising its institutional approach to advancing women, fostering regional partnerships, enhancing international cooperation, and collaborating with legislative and executive authorities to achieve national goals and fulfil women's aspirations. The speaker underscored the parliament's commitment to supporting women's advancement, commending Team Bahrain for their dedication. He highlighted Bahraini women's excellence across all domains, representing the nation locally and internationally.
