Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, sent a cable of congratulations to Shaikh Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Sheikh, Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council, on Saudi Arabia's National Day. Al Musallam highlighted the close ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, emphasizing the relationship fostered by the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. This relationship is further supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam affirmed the commitment of both the Council of Representatives and the Saudi Shura Council to strengthening parliamentary cooperation. The Speaker stressed the importance of supporting joint initiatives and programmes, enhancing parliamentary diplomacy, and coordinating positions in Arab, regional, and international forums.
In addition to congratulating Shaikh Dr. Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Sheikh, Al Musallam also sent a similar congratulatory message to Naif bin Bandar Al Sudairi, the Saudi Ambassador to Bahrain.
