HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Visits Royal Military Academy Sandhurst

London: His Highness Lieutenant General Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Advisor and Royal Guard Commander, visited the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom. The visit was marked by the presence of Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Bahrain's Ambassador to the United Kingdom; Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor; Shaikh Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Strategic Security Bureau; and Shaikh Khalid bin Humood Al Khalifa, Capital Governor.

According to Bahrain News Agency, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad emphasized the strong relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which are founded on joint efforts established by HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. These efforts are continuously followed up by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad noted the significant role of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in bolstering the Bahrain Defence Force by training competent officers and providing an environment conducive to their development.

The delegation led by HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad was received by Major General Nick Cowley, Commandant of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, along with senior officers from the Bahrain Defence Force and the Academy.

During the visit, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement on leadership development and initial officer training between Isa Royal Military College and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. He remarked that this agreement is a pivotal step in advancing Bahraini military personnel and reflects Bahrain's dedication to enhancing military competencies through advanced training and educational opportunities.

HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad also engaged with several Bahraini military cadets at the Academy, acknowledging the institution's role in preparing and training its graduates, and its focus on leadership and discipline.
