Manama, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, has congratulated the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council, Dr. Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sheikh, on being awarded the Arab Excellence Medal by the Arab Parliament (AP) during the AP’s session held in Cairo last Saturday.
In her cable, the speaker commended the efforts exerted by Dr. Al-Sheikh in consolidating Arab, Asian and Islamic parliamentary cooperation, praising the major role he is playing to develop joint Arab parliamentary action and activate Arab parliamentary diplomacy at the international level.
She hailed the prominent role played by sisterly Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, at the regional and global levels, valuing highly Saudi Arabia’s civilisational and humanitarian efforts, as well as continuous achievements at all levels.
