Social Development Ministry Hosts Workshop to Boost Civil Sector Performance

Manama: The Ministry of Social Development organised a workshop for a number of civil society organisations, with the participation of chairpersons and board members of associations and institutions. The workshop aimed to exchange views on best practices related to the work of the civil sector, contributing to raising awareness and enhancing the quality of performance, within the framework of supporting integration between government efforts and community initiatives.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development, affirmed that the workshop comes as a continuation of efforts to strengthen communication and partnership with civil society organisations, considering them an effective partner in supporting social development pathways and serving the community. He noted the Ministry's keenness to review the views and proposals of the civil sector, in order to support an enabling work environment that enhances the sustainability of community initiatives and reinforces their key role.

The Minister explained that the workshop served as an interactive platform for exchanging expertise. He noted the importance of benefiting from successful practices that contribute to strengthening civil work and improving the quality of services provided to the community, in line with the desired goals and aspirations.
