Manama: Osama bin Saleh Al Alawi, Minister of Social Development and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Family Microfinance House (FMH), led the board's second meeting of 2026.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Minister Al Alawi emphasized the need to continue efforts to strengthen governance and improve the efficiency of financing services. This is crucial for ensuring the sustainability of programmes aimed at entrepreneurs and owners of micro-enterprises.
He also highlighted the ongoing initiatives by FMH to explore the introduction of specialised products and broaden financing and service options. These efforts are in line with supporting corporate social responsibility programmes in the Kingdom of Bahrain, further reinforcing FMH's role in promoting economic and social empowerment.
During the meeting, the board reviewed the financial statements for the first quarter of 2026 as well as the financial results for April. Discussions also covered various agenda items related to workflow and the development of institutional performance.
